Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor team members within the contract team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
• Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial and contractual agreements including NDAs, Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work
• Have a thorough understanding of contract procedures, including drafting, review and approval processes.
• Assess and evaluate liability risks associated with contractual obligations, providing strategic legal advice.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop, revise and finalize legal documents ensuring compliance and clarity.
• Maintain organized records of contracts and legal documentation for easy retrieval and compliance purposes.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices related to contract law.
• Risk Mitigation – identify potential legal pitfalls and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as data security requirements (GDPR, ISO27001).
• Provide guidance to management regarding contractual obligations and risks.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• 5 years of proven experience in contract law, commercial agreements and legal document development.
• Strong knowledge of contract procedures, liability risk assessment and legal compliance.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, practical advice.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Salary Range: $115,000 – $140,000; bonus eligible
