The Opportunity The Albany, a cornerstone of Cheyenne’s hospitality and historical scene, is seeking an experienced, high-caliber General Manager to lead our team. Core Responsibilities
- Operational Stewardship: Oversee daily operations with a focus on consistency and quality. You will ensure that every guest experience reflects the heritage and reputation of The Albany.
- Systems Management: Implement and refine robust operational systems from inventory controls and labor management to health and safety protocols to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a dedicated staff by living our Vision and Values fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and professional growth. You aren't just a boss; you are a mentor who builds a cohesive, high-performing team who feels like family.
- Strategic Financial Oversight: Manage P&L, budgeting, and forecasting. You will be expected to utilize data-driven insights to maintain the financial health of the business while never compromising on the guest experience.
- Community Engagement: Act as the face of the establishment within the Cheyenne community, upholding our legacy and building lasting relationships with regulars and newcomers alike.
- Coordination & Support: Manage, support, and ensure proper staffing of all of our departments including our Package Liquormart, Choo Choo Moo seasonal ice cream stand, Friday Night seasonal outdoor bar, and occasional catering gig in addition to our core Restaurant and Bar business.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven Track Record: At least 5–7 years of senior leadership experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Systems-Oriented: You have a passion for "the way things work" and a proven ability to design and maintain workflows that allow a business to run like clockwork.
- Welcoming Presence: You lead with a "calm in the storm" demeanor. Your leadership is felt through your presence on the floor and your clear and kind communication.
