- Blindside waterproofing systems
- Foundation waterproofing
- Plaza deck waterproofing
- Below-grade waterproofing
- Structural concrete waterproofing
- Specialty waterproofing applications
We regularly work with industry-leading manufacturers including:
- HydroTech
- Carlisle
- W. R. Meadows
Experience with HydroTech 6125 systems and comparable waterproofing assemblies is highly preferred.
About the Role:
As a Commercial Waterproofing Estimator, you will play a critical role in securing and supporting projects from preconstruction through completion. You will evaluate project plans and specifications, prepare detailed estimates, develop bid proposals, and assist with project documentation. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial waterproofing systems and understand the unique challenges associated with below-grade waterproofing, blindside applications, and specialty waterproofing products.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating & Preconstruction
- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed project estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Develop competitive bid proposals and budgets.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and scope gaps.
- Analyze plans and specifications to ensure complete scope coverage.
- Attend pre-bid meetings as required.
Project Documentation & Administration
- Prepare and submit product submittals and material documentation.
- Draft and manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Prepare and process change orders.
- Review and incorporate addenda into bid packages and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and project files.
- Assist project management teams during project turnover.
Client & Vendor Relations
- Communicate with general contractors, architects, consultants, and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with waterproofing manufacturers and distributors.
- Participate in project handoff meetings and support project execution teams.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of commercial waterproofing systems and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
- Knowledge of waterproofing specifications, installation methods, and manufacturer requirements.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
Required Experience & Education:
- 3–5 years of commercial waterproofing estimating experience required.
- Demonstrated experience estimating:
o Sheet-applied waterproofing systems
o Cold-applied waterproofing systems
o Blindside waterproofing systems
o HydroTech 6125 systems or similar applications
- Experience preparing:
o Submittals
o RFIs
o Change Orders
o Addendum reviews
o Bid proposals
- Experience working with waterproofing manufacturers such as HydroTech, Carlisle, and W. R. Meadows preferred.
- Commercial construction experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.

Compensation:
The salary for the Commercial Waterproofing Estimator position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and industry expertise in commercial waterproofing systems and estimating.
