What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/Laborer position at The Affordable Movers?
Drivers:
PART-TIME JOB
Safely DRIVE, LOAD and UNLOAD load our moving trucks, trailers and or rental trucks.
Help customers at their homes or businesses, movers prepare items for transportation to another destination.
Lifting, moving and placing heavy items by hand or with assistance of material handling equipment such as a dollies and shoulder dollies.
Must have ability to work a physically demanding job that requires heavy lifting constantly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- 21 years or older for drivers due to insurance restrictions
- Drive 24' and 26’ Box trucks safely.
- Candidate MUST be responsible and on time ALWAYS.
- Job is moving furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, safes, etc. so candidate must be strong and physically fit. Must have ability to lift 75-125 lbs consistently.
- Must respond to calls and text messages quickly as schedules can change on short notice.
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check.
Compensation:
Drivers - $19 to $22 depending on experience PLUS customers tips and bonuses which can average up to $22 to $26 per hr.
