The Aesthetic Experience
Portland, OR Full Time
POSTED ON 9/5/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 1/2/2027

Required

Overview

The Clinical Director owns the clinical engine of the practice: how care is delivered, how consistently it is delivered, and how well it converts into retained clients and revenue. This is a working leadership role. The Clinical Director carries a treatment schedule and personal production alongside leadership responsibility, and must be experienced in both injectables and wellness — able to set the standard in each because they practice in each. Leadership authority here is earned at the chair, not delegated from a desk.

Responsibilities

Clinical Operations & Process

  • Owns clinical SOPs, protocols, and standards of care across all service lines
  • Ensures consistency of technique, product use, and client outcomes provider-toprovider
  • Manages clinical supply and device readiness in partnership with the General Manager
  • Resolves clinical escalations and adverse events; owns follow-up and documentation

Medical Oversight & Compliance

  • Oversees injectable services — technique standards, dosing consistency, complication management
  • Maintains compliance with Oregon Board and OHA requirements, device registration, and scope-of-practice boundaries
  • Coordinates with the Medical Director on matters of medical authority, standing orders, and clinical delegation
  • Owns clinical readiness for inspection or audit at any time

Charting & Documentation

  • Quality Conducts scheduled chart audits against a defined standard
  • Tracks audit findings by provider; coaches to correction and re-audits
  • Ensures consents, photo documentation, and treatment records are complete and defensible

Service Development

  • Evaluates, prices, and launches new treatments and protocols
  • Builds provider training and certification pathways for new services
  • Retires or reworks underperforming services based on outcome and margin data

Team Leadership & Hiring

  • Leads clinical hiring: screening, working interviews, technique assessment, and selection
  • Owns onboarding, clinical training, and competency sign-off for all clinical hires
  • Runs one-on-ones, performance reviews, and development plans
  • Builds and maintains clinical team culture and retention

Personal Clinical Production

  • Maintains an active treatment schedule in both injectables and wellness services
  • Carries individual production goals in addition to team production accountability
  • Serves as the practice’s benchmark provider — the standard other providers are trained to
  • Builds and retains a personal client following

Team Production, Growth & Client Experience

  • Accountable to monthly and annual clinical production targets
  • Drives provider-level productivity: rebooking, treatment planning, membership conversion, retail attachment
  • Owns clinical contribution to client satisfaction, retention, and reputation scores
  • Partners with Sales and Marketing on treatment plan presentation, campaigns, and B2B clinical education

Experience

Required

  • 3 years of aesthetic injectable practice (neurotoxins and dermal fillers)
  • Hands-on experience delivering wellness services — medical weight management, peptide therapy, IV therapy, or injection therapies
  • Comfort carrying a personal treatment schedule and production goals

Preferred

  • Prior supervisory, lead injector, or clinical management experience
  • Experience with lasers, energy-based devices, and advanced skin services
  • Hormone or metabolic health experience
  • Familiarity with EMR and scheduling platforms and with chart audit processes
