AES is seeking a Portfolio Asset Management Summer Intern to make substantial contributions within the following teams. As an intern at AES, you’ll work closely with professionals in the respective field of interest, learn valuable skills, and participate in meaningful projects, while making a positive impact and having fun through work. AES internships are designed to provide exposure to the energy sector and enhance your career prospects. The Portfolio Asset Management team is critical in the operation of a large fleet of renewable and energy storage projects, ensuring the optimal financial performance of our rapidly growing fleet.

Responsibilities:
The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $21.00 and $30.18/per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus. The benefits offered for this position are: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (including vacation, sick leave time, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. Responsibilities:
- Supervise a portfolio of sophisticated renewable energy assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial results while balancing risk.
- Enhance and automate core processes and collaborations within AES Clean Energy.
- Act as the Owner’s Representative for assigned AES Clean Energy project portfolios.
- Manage assigned project and portfolio’s financial matters (P&L responsibility), and budgets.
- Support outage resolution or mitigation.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, analytical and time management skills.
- Diligent and self-motivated with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Understands project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and is proficient in Microsoft Office.
