The selected individual will be working as a Security Specialist II/III. The Security Specialist will ensure successful security and safety programs are in place by implementing programs for protecting classified and unclassified sensitive information in accordance with corporate and governmental policies and directives. Performs specialized duties in one or more security disciplines.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Colorado Springs, CO.

What You’ll Be Doing
- The Security Specialist will primarily support the Collateral, SCI, and SAP Security Programs at our contractor facility located at Colorado Springs, CO.
- Plan, coordinate, and support onsite meetings and conference events.
- Prepare visit clearance requests and Common Access Card (CAC) applications, and facilitate military installation access for visitors without military identification
- Administer and ensure compliance with company and government regulations, policies, and procedures for the protection of personnel, information, and assets
- Supports core security operations, including processing personnel security clearances, managing incoming and outgoing visit requests, producing employee, tenant, and visitor badges, conducting security indoctrinations and debriefings, and maintaining corporate and government security databases.
- Design, implement, and deliver security training, briefings, and education programs.
- Provide security support to assigned groups and additional office locations as required.
- Assist the Cognizant Program Security Officer (CPSO) and Cognizant Security Staff Officer (CSSO) functions as needed
Minimum Requirements for Security Specialist II:
- 3 or more years of relevant SCI and SAP Security experience with High School Diploma.
- Current TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI and SAP accesses. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph may be required.
- Working knowledge of badge management, visitor control, and facility protection protocols
- Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills to produce professional training and awareness products, policy/procedure documents and to effectively communicate with all levels of management and customers (internal/external).
- Ability to build trust and foster open communications with peers and internal/external customers.
- Occasional after-hours alarm response is a requirement (Overtime eligible)
- 5 or more years of relevant SCI and SAP Security experience with High School Diploma.
It would be impressive if you had one or more of these:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college.
- Current TS/SCI with adjudicated CI polygraph.
- Prior FSO or CSSO experience
- Working knowledge of JADE, DISS, e-QIP, NISS, SIMS, or C/CURE systems
- Experience with the DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5105.21, and the Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) series.
