Job Summary
The Driver / Mover Coordinator is responsible for providing support services for The Aerospace Corporation by driving commercial motor vehicles. Use of vehicles is to support transportation of various items locally and to offsite locations. The role loads, unloads, and delivers materials, and tracks, logs, verifies and records information on package delivery.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, onsite at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Relocates various property, office furniture, and specialized laboratory equipment.
- Moves, lifts, heavy equipment throughout the Corporation.
- Packs and secures various items and ensures safe and timely delivery.
- Product coordination and movements from warehouse to point of delivery; operates computerized scanning system to track products from warehouse to customer.
- Completes daily driver’s logbooks and daily vehicle inspection reports.
- Operates a forklift, heavy mechanical equipment, and vehicles to transport non-placarded hazardous materials.
Minimum Requirements for the Driver / Mover II include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years of experience in a related field
- Possess a valid California Class C driver’s license - commercial drivers must be at least 21 years old to qualify
- Possess and maintain an acceptable and clean driving record
- Knowledge of rigging to properly calculate rigging loads up to 10,000 pounds when moving large heavy objects as well as the use of specialized equipment such as roller lifts and optics table jacks
- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug test
- Six or more years of related experience
- Possess a Security Clearance
- Possess current Safety training and hazardous materials inducements
- Experience with SCL barcode scanning
