The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Undergraduate Public Relations & Communications Intern. This position will be a hybrid work model and offer partially remote with some onsite work required in El Segundo, CA. What You’ll Be Doing Assist with day-to-day media and social media activities to support our Space Workforce 2030 initiative Assist with ongoing social media creation, daily channel monitoring, and general channel management of Space Workforce 2030 social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram) Develop multimedia elements as needed to complement communications projects Develop strategic social media campaigns targeted to generate audience growth and drive conversation for SWF 2030 updates Ongoing measurement and analysis for the Space Workforce 2030 social media channels Partner with other company departments, such as community relations, human resources, diversity and inclusion, and various other business functions on external communications Partner with SWF 2030 signatory companies' communications teams to incorporate their content into the SWF 2030 social media channels What Corporate Skills You’ll Bring Strong written and oral communication skills Must work well in a team environment Possess organizational, time management and project management skills Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational need Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements: Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related discipline. Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship. Demonstrated writing skills and understanding of AP Style. Able to move from one project to the next. Ability to assist and support with writing and publishing Minimum GPA of 3.0 This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance. Transcripts required How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of these: GPA 3.5 or higher Writing samples portfolio Undergraduate or graduate work in Public Relations, Journalism, Technical Communication, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field preferred. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
