The Advance Group has an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator position at a wire processing facility.
Job duties for this Machine Operator position include:
- Performing work in a safe manner following all plant procedures and reporting concerns to appropriate supervisory staff.
- Accountable for production quality including, but not limited to, no surface defects, wire cleanliness, proper size.
- Must read and follow written instructions to ensure customer demands are met and utilize a computer for inventory tracking and product traceability.
- Thread-up and operation of Wire Drawing machines.
- Selection of proper die set up to ensure wire size and quality.
- Thread-up and operation of various wire drawing machines.
- Moving steel coils and spools utilizing an industrial forklift to obtain raw material and move finished material to the next process and/or storage.
Required Experience for Machine Operators:
- High School Diploma preferred but not mandatory.
- Mechanical aptitude for routine set-up and maintenance on the drawing machine.
- Physical ability to maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
- Ability to drive and operate an industrial forklift.
Hours for Machine Operator:
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm with overtime as needed, some Saturday's.
Compensation for Machine Operator:
- Starting pay is $18/hr
- This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate
