JOB LOCATION: 929 W Foster Ave, 60640, Chicago, IL
SHIFT: Morning
Position Summary
The Server provides culinary information to senior living residents and guests for ordering meals, takes guest orders, accurately communicates food orders to the kitchen, presents and serves meals to senior living residents and guests while maintaining a pleasant dining ambiance, and completes all pre- and post-service tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions
o Follows all correct procedures and techniques for floor service, utilizing the Waited Service Manual and other training tools
o Completes pre-service tasks outlined for assigned dining room section prior to opening
o Ensures all tables are properly set, furniture and floors are clean, and necessary supplies are available for service
o Participates in daily pre-service meeting
o Accurately transcribes guest orders into POS, properly executes POS communication to the kitchen, and serves selections to guests in an efficient/timely fashion
o Monitors table timing to ensure consistent and smooth service of courses
o Touches base with each assigned table after main course service to ensure guest satisfaction
o Clears courses and appropriate service-ware from assigned tables per Waited Service Manual
o Returns trays of service-ware to dishwashing area per Waited Service Manual
o Completes post-service tasks outlined for assigned dining room section at end of shift
o Fosters teamwork between utility workers, cooks and other servers during meal service
Ø Requirements of Compliance Program
o Conforms with the requirements of the Compliance Program by understanding and adhering to The Admiral at the Lake’s Compliance Program and Policies as they appear in the Code of Conduct and other compliance policies
o Acknowledges annual review of the Code of Conduct by signature and attends corporate compliance education events
o Adheres to the policies and procedures covering Privacy and Security in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Education and Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferred
- Illinois Food Handler Training required (Can complete upon hire)
- Upon hire, must complete new hire online training and monthly online training
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.60 - $19.00 per hour
