INDIVIDUAL GIVING SPECIALIST (REMOTE)

JOB SUMMARY
The Individual Giving Specialist supports and executes strategies to grow and sustain the Foundation’s individual donor base. This role is instrumental in donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship, with a focus on strengthening annual giving and building a pipeline of mid-level and major donors.
Working closely with the Development, Marketing, and Programs teams, this position helps implement integrated campaigns and engagement strategies aligned with the Foundation’s mission and revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of the Director of Development & Marketing, the Individual Giving Specialist will:
1. Lead the execution of individual giving strategies focused on donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades.
2. Manage and grow a portfolio of annual and mid-level donors.
3. Plan and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, email, and digital initiatives.
4. Partner with Marketing to develop donor communications and campaign content.
5. Manage donor segmentation, list management, and data strategy using CRM tools.
6. Lead donor stewardship efforts, including ongoing engagement and retention strategies.
7. Track and analyze donor activity and campaign performance in Virtuous CRM.
8. Conduct donor outreach, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and managing follow-up communication.
9. Identify and drive opportunities to increase donor engagement through campaigns and peer-to-peer fundraising.
10. Track and report on progress toward individual giving goals.
11. Represent the Foundation at events and donor engagement activities as needed.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
1. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in annual giving or individual giving.
2. Experience supporting or executing fundraising campaigns across multiple channels.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
4. Proficiency with donor databases/CRMs; experience with Virtuous preferred.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
