Steel Welder – 2nd Shift
Location: Iron Ridge, WI
Pay Range: $32–$36/hour, depending on experience
2nd Shift | 2 pm - 10:30 pm
The ACE Consulting Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing client in Iron Ridge, WI to add an experienced Steel Welder to their 2nd shift team.
Note: these are all direct hire roles offering excellent benefits PTO program immediately.
What You’ll Do/ Responsibilities for Steel Welders:
- Perform MIG/GMAW and TIG/GTAW welding
- Weld components in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Adjust welding equipment for varying material thicknesses
- Measure and align parts using calipers, rulers, measuring tapes, clamps, and fixtures
- Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding
- Inspect completed welds and structures for quality and defects
- Troubleshoot issues and maintain welding equipment safely
What We’re Looking For/ Who Qualifies:
- Previous professional welding experience
- Proficiency in GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Ability to adjust welding machines for different material thicknesses
- Strong measuring, fabrication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Must successfully complete a weld test
Compensation for the Steel Welder role:
$32–$36/hour, depending on experience.
