Our focus is on reducing pet overpopulation while maintaining the highest standards of medical and surgical excellence. We are seeking an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about animal welfare and eager to be part of building a reputable and sustainable practice.
Position Summary:
The Spay & Neuter Veterinarian will perform sterilization surgeries and provide wellness care with an emphasis on efficiency, safety, and patient well-being. This role requires excellent surgical skills, sound medical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with a skilled support team. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to contribute to shaping the operations, culture, and impact of a new clinic from its inception.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform spay and neuter surgeries in a safe, effective, and timely manner.
- Conduct pre- and post-operative examinations and ensure appropriate patient care throughout recovery.
- Administer vaccinations and preventative treatments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with clinic protocols and state regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to veterinary technicians and support staff.
- Contribute to a professional, respectful, and mission-driven work environment.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Active Georgia veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment).
- Proficiency in high-volume spay/neuter surgery strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to the clinic’s mission and to the highest standards of animal care.
