What You Will Do
Instructional Coaching & Teacher Support
- Improve the efficacy of teachers and paraprofessionals through ongoing observation, feedback, and instructional coaching.
- Teach demonstration lessons, co-plan/co-teach lessons, and facilitate peer observations among teachers.
- Advise site administrators on issues relating to literacy instruction and intervention.
- Develop and facilitate professional development to support the implementation of high-impact, evidence-based instructional strategies, with a particular focus on 21st Century learning including personalized and project-based learning.
- Participate in professional development and relevant meetings.
- Maintain current knowledge of educational research, materials, and strategies.
- Design 21st century curricula including personalized and project-based learning - both independently and collaboratively with teachers - along with corresponding instructional support materials.
- Develop a video library, including footage of high-impact, evidenced based instructional strategies.
- Coordinate the administration of assessments (including CAASPP) and the analysis and dissemination of assessment data.
- Completes other duties as directed by school administrators.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:
- California Single Subject Mathematics teaching credential w/English Learners Authorization (required)
- Spanish Bilingual (preferred)
- At least three years of classroom teaching experience (five or more years preferred), which includes providing literacy instruction to students. (preferred)
- Work experience at a wide range of grade levels, spanning middle and high school. (preferred)
- Experience developing and/or facilitating professional development for other educators. (preferred)
- Experience in a leadership capacity i.e., department chairperson, grade level lead teacher. (preferred)
- Competitive annual salary range $93,600-$112,881
- The Accelerated Schools (TAS) accepts up to 35 years of prior years of experience where the employee worked full-time as a certificated employee for a minimum of 75% of the school year.
