What You'll Do
As a Lead Teacher, you'll be the heart of your classroom! You'll create a welcoming, engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
- Bring learning to life! Plan and implement creative, developmentally appropriate activities that encourage exploration, curiosity, and growth.
- Create a classroom that inspires. Maintain an organized, engaging learning environment that reflects children's interests, abilities, and developmental needs.
- Build meaningful connections. Develop positive relationships with children and families through open communication, trust, and collaboration.
- Lead with confidence and kindness. Guide classroom routines, model positive behavior management strategies, and support assistant teachers in creating a successful classroom.
- Celebrate every milestone. Observe, document, and assess children's development to support individualized learning experiences.
- Make teamwork a priority. Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive, supportive, and professional environment.
- Keep safety first. Maintain appropriate supervision, follow licensing requirements, and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of every child.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who brings both the qualifications AND the right energy to our team!
- Experience working in an early childhood education setting, preferably in a lead teaching role.
- Knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate practices, and positive classroom management.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan engaging educational activities and maintain classroom documentation.
- A positive, dependable, and professional attitude.
- Willingness to collaborate, grow professionally, and contribute to our team culture.
- Ability to meet Pennsylvania child care staff qualification and clearance requirements.
- Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children.
