Front Desk Staff – Academy of Performing Arts (APA)
Locations: Oak Creek & Franklin, Wisconsin

Current Shift Openings (all Franklin):
- Thursdays: 3:30pm - 9:15pm
- Fridays: 3:00pm - 8:30pm
- Saturdays: 8:30am - 1:15pm

Role Overview
As the Front Desk Staff, you are the first point of contact for our students and families — creating a warm, organized, and professional environment that reflects the heart of APA. You’ll support our customers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive experience for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Communication
- Greet and assist customers in-person, by phone, and via email with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Answer incoming calls, check voicemails, and respond to emails promptly.
- Provide accurate information about programs, schedules, and policies.
- Serve as a liaison between students, parents, staff, and management.
Administrative Support
- Register new students, schedule trials, and set up make-up lessons.
- Process payments and maintain accurate member account records.
- Assist with sales of dancewear and APA merchandise, including sizing students for attire.
- Maintain and update records in our management systems (Jackrabbit and related tools).
Facility & Environment
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby, front desk, and bathrooms.
- Conduct mid-shift bathroom and lobby checks to ensure a welcoming space for families.
- Keep promotional materials, trial packets, and registration forms stocked and up to date.
Team Collaboration
- Attend weekly 1:1 staff meetings and team check-ins.
- Communicate effectively with office management, instructors, and other desk team members.
- Contribute to a positive, solution-oriented workplace that supports APA’s values and culture.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in customer service or administrative roles preferred (small business experience a plus).
- Proficient with email, internet, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
