Speech Language Pathologist (Part-Time)
Location: Remote/3002 S Priest Dr, Tempe, AZ 85282
Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000, annually DOE.

The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of top-rated public K–8 charter schools in Arizona that has served communities for more than 20 years.
This part-time role averages approximately 20 hours per week. While weekly scheduling is flexible, the SLP must be available for work between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM (Arkansas time) to support school-day needs.

Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate students with language difficulties or delayed development.
- Provide speech and language services in alignment with each student’s IEP.
- Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team to review eligibility for students with speech and language needs.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned to IEP goals in collaboration with classroom teachers.
- Complete all required local, state, and federal documentation for student caseloads.
- Act as a resource for teachers, parents, and administrators on speech and language needs.
- Participate in initial and ongoing training for speech and language paraprofessionals.
- Master’s degree with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency)
- Additional certification for working with students with speech and/or language disabilities
- Valid Arizona Standard Certification in speech pathology and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card OR
- State license issued by the Arizona Department of Health as a Speech-Language Therapist/Pathologist and a Clearance 1 (IVP) Fingerprint Card
