Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Achievement
- Use AMS curriculum and standards to plan, internalize, and deliver rigorous, differentiated instruction.
- Create engaging lessons that support mastery of grade-level standards and mathematical concepts.
- Administer formative and summative assessments aligned with the school assessment calendar.
- Use student performance data to monitor growth and drive instructional decisions.
- Maintain accurate and timely grade records that reflect student mastery and progress.
- Establish and uphold high expectations for student behavior and academic success.
- Implement PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) and intervention strategies to support students’ social and emotional development.
- Create an organized, joyful, and print-rich classroom environment aligned with campus-wide expectations.
- Coordinate with administrators and staff to support students’ academic and behavioral needs.
- Participate in weekly professional development, grade-level planning, and professional learning communities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership in data analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate regularly with families through newsletters, phone calls, emails, and conferences to support student success.
- Support school-wide initiatives and perform other role-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated content knowledge in education and/or mathematics through degree, experience, or certification
- Ability to pass a background check
- Arkansas State teaching certification strongly preferred
- Master’s degree or higher in Education preferred
- Minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience preferred
- Strong instructional planning and classroom management skills
- Ability to analyze and use student data to inform instruction
- Commitment to equity, rigor, and high expectations for all students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to thrive in a mission-driven, fast-paced school environment
- Ability to work in an active school environment with frequent student interaction
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the school day
- Ability to perform duties associated with classroom instruction and supervision
