About the Role
The Académie – French-American School is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our preschool team for the upcoming school year.
Our program is inspired by Montessori principles, focusing on independence, hands-on learning, and the holistic development of the child in a bilingual French-American environment.
We are looking for a warm, energetic educator who loves working with young children and values child-centered education.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a preschool / early childhood classroom (ages 2.5–6)
- Implement engaging, hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities
- Foster independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth
- Prepare and maintain a structured, Montessori-inspired environment
- Observe and document student progress
- Communicate positively with families
- Work collaboratively with bilingual (French-English) staff
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education
- Montessori experience or Montessori training strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of child development
- Positive, patient, and organized teaching style
- Ability to work in a multicultural, bilingual school environment
