Activity Director
Job Summary
Develops and Maintains an on-going program of activities and social involvements for the residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Care Luxury Community.
Qualifications
The minimum requirements for this position are a professional who is qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activitiies professional who is elegible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist by a recognized acrcrediting body. such as the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals; or has two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, one year of which was full-time in an activities program in a health care setting; or has completted an activity director training course approved by the National Association for Activity Professionals or the National Therapeutic Recreation Society.
Job Functions
Develops and implements a comprehensive program that will not only meet the residents' various invididual and social needs and interests, but also challenges them to grow in spriritual, mental, social and physical areas.
Plan and coordinates all programs, including volunteers.
Lead many origrans and activities which will require sitting, walking, lifting, moving, mobility and interaction with residents and volunteers
Communicates fluently to and with groups of residents, volunteers, families, friends and other such individuals. Must be a good listener, speaks and hears well.
Takes residents on field trips and excursions. Having an operator's drivers license and good eyesight are required
Organizes community and volunteer suppor.

Pay: $37,000.00 - $41,500.00 per year
