Pay Range: $81,000 - $112,000
Shift (Friday-Monday)
Key Obsessions:
- Lead Fabrication team
- Hire, coach, mentor, and engage Fabrication Supervisors and their teams to perform at the highest level.
- Relentlessly promote Aagard culture.
- Ensure team readiness and expertise through the implementation of relevant training and development opportunities.
- Ensure safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Own Fabrication performance metrics
- Establish and monitor department’s performance to metrics and proactively implement corrective action.
- Ensure adherence to schedules and timely completion of machine units.
- Maintain quality standards that meet documented requirements.
- Continuously monitor and improve production efficiencies.
- Proactively lead process improvements
- Collaborate with the continuous improvement team to identify, communicate, and execute improvement projects.
- Recommend and incorporate manufacturing methods to increase productivity.
- Drive cost reductions in areas such as tooling, scrap, and maintenance/repairs.
- Monitor team performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years of manufacturing management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably within fabrication
- Skilled in interviewing, performance management, and coaching
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
- Ability to view and understand CAD drawings and use of Aagard software
- Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Confidence and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing, including presentation skills
- Strong prioritization, time management, organization, proactive decision-making, and attention to detail
- Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs. using two-person assist as needed.
- Ability to travel as required
