Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items efficiently, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with meal prep, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for service
- Support kitchen team members during busy hours to ensure timely service and smooth operations
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, storage, and hygiene procedures
- Contribute to menu planning by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements based on customer preferences
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration
- Familiarity with catering, meal preparation, and food service operations a plus.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
