Star Managed Services is seeking a Sales Account Executive to drive new business through proactive outreach, cold calling, and lead generation. This role is all about building the top of the sales funnel and converting prospects into lasting clients. You’ll play a key role in expanding our customer base and contributing directly to revenue growth.
Our ideal candidate is tenacious, motivated, and confident on the phone, with proven experience generating qualified leads, booking meetings, and nurturing prospects into opportunities. Previous IT or tech industry experience is a plus—but a strong work ethic, persistence, and communication skills are what matter most.
This position offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. This position is an in-person role, reporting to the Houston office five days a week.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales and lead generation plans to grow Star Managed Services’ customer base.
- Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls, emails, and social outreach to generate new business opportunities.
- Identify, qualify, and nurture prospects through the full sales cycle—from initial outreach to close.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients by understanding their business needs and aligning them with tailored IT and managed services solutions.
- Collaborate with marketing and internal sales teams to optimize lead generation campaigns and improve conversion rates.
- Schedule and lead discovery calls, presentations, and demos to move opportunities through the pipeline.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, activity levels, and market trends to refine outreach strategies.
- Ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction by coordinating with internal operations and service delivery teams.
- Continuously refine sales processes to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Represent Star Managed Services at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to expand brand awareness.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, competitor offerings, and industry developments to support consultative selling.
- 1–3 years of experience in cold calling, appointment setting, or lead generation (B2B preferred).
- Strong communication and persuasion skills with a confident phone presence.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed activity-based KPIs (calls, emails, meetings set).
- Resilient attitude and comfort with rejection in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset and desire to advance within a sales organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred, but not required.
