Purpose
The Club Director exists to:
- Ensure operational excellence across all clubs.
- Drive membership growth and retention through inspiring leadership and sales strategies.
- Elevate the member experience by leading and empowering front-of-house and service teams.
This position blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, making sure The 12 delivers on its mission: equipping the next generation.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily club operations, ensuring the highest standards in cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
- Implement and enforce SOPs across all departments (training, membership, front desk, maintenance, scheduling).
- Monitor KPIs and use data-driven insights to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability.
- Manage budgets, vendor contracts, and inventory while ensuring sustainable margin health.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Hire, train, and lead Team Leaders, Membership Advisors, and Member Services team leads.
- Instill a culture of accountability, service, and leadership development.
- Conduct regular coaching, feedback sessions, and performance reviews.
- Foster a sales-driven, service-centered, and mission-aligned culture across all staff.
Membership Growth & Sales
- Drive daily membership acquisition efforts (tours, outreach, referrals, calls).
- Exceed monthly/quarterly sales and retention goals.
- Partner with marketing to implement community outreach, digital campaigns, and referral strategies.
- Build strong member relationships that promote conversion, loyalty, and referrals.
Member Experience & Retention
- Ensure every guest interaction—online, at the front desk, or on the floor—reflects The 12’s brand and mission.
- Oversee member onboarding to deliver a seamless, energizing start to their journey.
- Resolve member concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Create and implement engagement and loyalty programs to strengthen community and retention.
Front-of-House & Service Leadership
- Supervise the Member Services team and set the tone for all front desk interactions.
- Ensure daily open/close procedures, cleanliness, and facility readiness.
- Oversee scheduling, shift coverage, and POS transactions.
- Serve as a bridge between executive leadership and the frontline team, reinforcing culture and clarity.
Growth & Innovation
- Play a central role in growing the current locations monthly revenue.
- Introduce new systems, technologies, and service practices to enhance member and staff experience.
- Collaborate in long-term strategic planning with a focus on innovation and expansion.
Qualifications
- 5 years in multi-unit fitness, hospitality, or service operations leadership.
- Proven ability to scale operations, sales, and customer experience.
- Strong background in membership sales, retention strategies, and customer service excellence.
- Previous experience leading and developing multi-level teams (GMs, sales staff, and service leads).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for fitness, leadership, and building community.
