Independent Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation strategies within assigned territories
• Manage and nurture existing client accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and upselling opportunities
• Conduct product demos and technical sales presentations tailored to client needs, highlighting features and benefits effectively
• Develop territory management plans to maximize coverage, increase market share, and meet sales targets
• Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track leads, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining company profitability
• Collaborate with marketing teams to implement strategies that enhance brand visibility and support business development efforts

Skills

• Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technology sales with a focus on account management and territory management
• Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple clients and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills to build lasting relationships with clients
• Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for lead management and analysis
• Ability to conduct engaging product demos and technical presentations that address client needs
• Skilled in cold calling, direct sales, inside sales, retail sales, and territory sales strategies
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data for strategic decision-making
• Knowledge of marketing principles and lead generation techniques to expand outreach efforts
• Demonstrated success in upselling products or services while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
