Thatcher Company of New York is seeking qualified Chemical Truck Loader Operator on Swing Shift to work in our Williamson, NY facility.
Competitive salary $22-25 per hour
Major Accountabilities
- Load and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and all other containers
- Operate commercial yard trucks to move trailers around the plant. Experience preferred but not required.
- Understand and operate plant equipment and processes
- Regularly lift 50 pounds
- Operate pumps and loading equipment
- Operate forklift
- Swing Shift M-F
Required Qualifications:
- Desire and demonstrated ability to work safely and promote safety/safe work practices.
- Be quality conscious.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language well for safety and operations
- Aptitude to follow written and verbal instructions in detail and learn additional skills with experience.
- Capacity to work in extreme conditions (temperature) and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, including the use of tools and equipment, is preferred.
- Ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant gloves and boots, safety glasses, hard hat, face shield, full-face respirator (if required), and chemical splash suit (overalls and jacket).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
