The Chemical Analysis Manager is responsible for providing Technical and Administrative support to ongoing Technical Services Operations at Thatcher Company of California.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be able to provide proof of employment eligibility.
- BS/MS in Chemistry or related field or relevant experience. Specialization in analytical chemistry preferred.
- Minimum of three years of laboratory experience. Management experience preferred but not required. Successful candidates will have an experience-based knowledge of laboratory operations, chemical principles, chemical manufacturing processes, and chemical plant operations.
- Broad knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Major Responsibilities:
- Technical Services
- Provide all testing, batch approval and product diagnostics support for TCFLD operations.
- General laboratory housekeeping
- Maintenance of laboratory consumable inventory
- Management of incoming samples
- Prepare and issue operations production paperwork as needed to support Production Planning.
- Serve as on-site liaison between CA and Thatcher Company of Utah R&D/Technical Services teams.
- Laboratory Clerical Support
- Data Entry (ERP, LIMS)
- Management of Technical Services and Production document archives.
- Create and issue customer-facing product collaterals (CoAs, CoCs, Labels, Product Specifications, etc.) as required by customers.
- QA/QC Support
- Serve as plant QC staff member for inspection and approvals of plant equipment and finished products as required by production paperwork.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
