About the Role
That One Media Studio is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented intern with a strong interest in video editing, visual storytelling, social media marketing, and content production.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just know how to cut video clips together, but understands how to tell a story through video.
Our clients span multiple industries, including real estate, tattoo studios, racquet sports, barbershops, weddings, and small businesses. Every project requires a different creative approach, and we’re looking for someone who can adapt their editing style to fit the brand, audience, and message.
You’ll assist with everything from short-form social media content to longer promotional films, brand stories, interviews, wedding highlights, and other video projects.
This is a hands-on creative role with the opportunity to grow into a paid, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Visual Storytelling — Primary Focus
* Edit both short-form and long-form video content for social media, websites, marketing campaigns, and client projects.
* Produce engaging Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, brand films, interviews, and event highlights.
* Transform raw footage into compelling stories with clear structure, intentional pacing, and strong emotional or visual impact.
* Understand the importance of hooks, storytelling, transitions, music selection, sound design, and audience retention.
* Select meaningful footage, build sequences, and create edits that communicate a message rather than simply showcase clips.
* Adapt editing styles to different brands, audiences, industries, and creative objectives.
* Assist with color correction, audio adjustments, captions, graphics, and final delivery.
* Collaborate on creative direction and contribute ideas to improve the storytelling and overall quality of each production.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
* Assist with creating, planning, and scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
* Develop engaging captions, creative concepts, and social media campaigns.
* Monitor engagement and research emerging content trends.
* Support the development of content calendars for multiple clients.
* Help create content that supports audience growth, brand awareness, and business objectives.
Photography & Content Production
* Assist with on-location photo and video shoots throughout Savannah and surrounding areas.
* Capture behind-the-scenes content and supplemental footage.
* Help organize media files, footage, and project assets.
* Collaborate with the studio team on creative planning and production.
* Participate in projects involving real estate, sports, weddings, tattoo artists, barbershops, and other client industries.
Required Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience editing both short-form and long-form videos.
* Ability to tell a compelling story through footage, music, pacing, sequencing, and sound.
* Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar professional editing software.
* Understanding of social media video formats, aspect ratios, and platform-specific editing techniques.
* Ability to take creative direction, incorporate feedback, and meet project deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
* A creative mindset with the ability to develop ideas independently.
* Willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow within a creative agency.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
* Basic knowledge of camera operation, composition, and lighting.
* Understanding of color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
* Experience editing wedding films, commercial content, sports videos, interviews, or brand storytelling projects.
* Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing strategies.
Portfolio Requirement
Applicants must provide examples of their video editing work.
We’d love to see at least one short-form video and one longer-form project demonstrating storytelling, editing technique, pacing, and creative decision-making.
We are especially interested in seeing how applicants use video to communicate a message, build emotion, or tell a story.
Professional client experience is not required. Personal projects, school assignments, independent productions, and passion projects are welcome.
