Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide friendly, attentive service to enhance their café experience.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations.
- Assist with food preparation and serving light food items, snacks, or baked goods as needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar coffee industry role, with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques.
- Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
