Duties
- Assist with the installation of concrete forms, rebar, and other structural components according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently to support pouring, finishing, and cutting concrete
- Help with heavy lifting and material transportation around the construction site to ensure timely progress
- Support carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, stucco application, and roof work as needed
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Aid in masonry work, metal stud framing, flooring installation, and restoration projects to meet project specifications
- Interpret construction plans and blueprint specifications accurately for various tasks such as formwork construction and concrete pouring
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a construction environment is highly preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, cutting, pumping, and rebar installation techniques
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as concrete mixers and saws
- Understanding of construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Experience with plastering, caulking, roofing, renovation work, or masonry is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as required
