Role Overview: This position involves installing, splicing, testing, and documenting outside plant fiber optic facilities. The fiber splicer will operate fusion splicing equipment, OTDR, and light testers to ensure quality standards are met, coordinating with construction teams and contractors to meet project timelines.

- Perform fiber enclosures installation, fusion splicing, and testing with adherence to standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair buried and aerial fiber optic cables.
- Identify cable faults, conduct acceptance testing, and document work accurately.
- Read construction plans, coordinate daily tasks with teams, and support project closeout activities.
- Maintain equipment, complete paperwork, and assist field technicians as needed.
- At least 1 year of experience in fiber optic or related telecommunications work, or military honorable discharge.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT requirements.
- Understanding of fiber optic products and services.
- Physical ability to climb poles, ladders, and structures; lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions, pass safety and customer-specific training, and work overtime or on different shifts.
