What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Thames Street Oyster House?
THAMES STREET OYSTER HOUSE in Fells Point is searching for a part time host! This is a great way to supplement your schedule with meeting new people, learning a new skill, and making great additional income in an established, highly rated restaurant, as a part of a great team of people!
Some restaurant experience is helpful but is NOT required. Ultimately we are looking for kind, professional, dedicated individuals to join our team. We are searching for a well spoken, professional, customer service oriented person for this position, who is available for 2-3 shifts a week, including Thursday evenings, Friday lunch service, and either Saturday or Sunday.
There is room to pick up additional shifts if more hours are preferred. Hosts will help mainly with reservations, seating, quoting walk in guests for tables, and on the phone. Experience hosting and running a wait list is helpful, but not required. Otherwise, excellent communication skills, manners, and professionalism on the phone and in person are absolutely necessary.
A full benefits program (medical, dental, and vision) is available for 30hr employees.
