Asphalt Plant Groundsman
Thalle Industries. is looking for a self-motivated reliable individual to fill the position opening of Asphalt Plant Laborer.
Summary/Objective:
The ideal candidate would have prior experience working at an asphalt plant. The compensation is $24-$27 based on experience.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Assist with the production of asphalt materials.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including shoveling, raking and sweeping, to maintain cleanliness and orderliness around the plant.
- Monitor equipment and processes to identify any issues or malfunctions and report them to supervisors for prompt resolution.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Perform general laborer duties when necessary.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment.
- Follow company policies, MSHA and OSHA regulations as directed and trained by supervisors.
- Understand and comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
- Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and asphalt.
- Must be able to work comfortably at extreme heights on a daily basis.
