Shop Admin

Thalle Construction Co. Inc. (“Thalle”) is seeking a Shop Admin. This position is located ON SITE at our Corporate Headquarters in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

Thalle, established in 1947, is a heavy civil construction company with a corporate office in Hillsborough, NC, and a regional office in Alvarado, Texas. Thalle has construction projects throughout the Southeast, Texas, and New Jersey with growth nationwide. Our diverse and expansive project scope of heavy civil infrastructure projects includes dams, reservoirs, locks, DOT roadway construction and bridges, large diameter utilities, landfills, mass excavation, wastewater, and on-demand emergency services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately track and report truck and equipment hours/mileage.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of weekly meter report.
• Maintain/initiate good relationships with vendors, dealers, and third-party employees.
• Keep comprehensive and up-to-date records of vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor incoming requests and communicate information effectively.
• Support in scheduling with vendors and communicating details with colleagues.
• Help maintain accurate PO log, filter survey, and service report.
• Assures timely and accurate responses to the Equipment Manager and directives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in administration or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in an administrative role, within the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills. 
• Skill in organization, time management, prioritization, and attention to detail. 
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs. 
• Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions and disciplines. 
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Able to work independently, sometimes under strict time constraints.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
