This role works closely with the Administrator to ensure accurate billing, accounts receivable management, resident trust oversight, and compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and other thirdparty payer requirements.

- Prepare and submit Medicaid, Medicare, and thirdparty insurance billings in coordination with an outside billing company
- Follow up on delinquent payments and manage the accounts receivable process
- Prepare monthly resident statements and billing reports
- Accurately maintain census data including admissions, discharges, transfers, and daily census
- Maintain financial records including cash receipts, disbursements, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll journals
- Reconcile facility cash accounts and resident trust accounts
- Maintain resident trust funds, including daily petty cash reconciliation, monthly reconciliations, and quarterly statements
- Participate in the admissions process by explaining facility rates, billing cycles, and payment terms to residents and families
- Collect initial payments at admission as required
- Ensure all documentation meets state, federal, and company guidelines
- Attend department meetings, trainings, and workshops as needed
- Supervise and support business office clerical staff, as assigned
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience in longterm care
- Minimum 3 years of related experience (longterm care preferred)
- 1-2 years of supervisory or office management experience
- Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing strongly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of professionalism with strict attention to confidentiality
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Customerservice oriented with the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer
- Frequent typing and computer use
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
