- Shift : 7:45 - 5pm
- The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for greeting, instructing, directing and scheduling patients
- Responsibilities include scheduling surgical procedures and follow up appointments
- Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff
- Meets with patient to coordinate surgical date
- Reviews preoperative instructions: bowel preparation, no aspirin, etc
- Registers patient and procedure with the appropriate hospital scheduling department
- Correlates pre-admission testing and surgical clearance appointments
- Prepares patient chart orders for surgical .
