Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations based on guests' preferences.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy in orders.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Ensure tables are clean, organized, and properly set for each guest.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices in food service areas.
- Assist with food preparation as needed during peak hours or special events.
Experience
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary terminology is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for handling cash register transactions effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential.
