Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience
- Take accurate orders using square POS systems, ensuring quick and efficient processing
- Prepare and assemble food items according to safety standards and quality guidelines
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and food prep stations. Com plate a list of side jobs per the job required.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, preferably in quick service or fast food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude
