Thacker is seeking a motivated and organized professional to join our sales leadership team as an Assistant Sales Director. This is an entry-level sales leadership position designed for individuals who have demonstrated success in sales and are: a) ready to take the next step into management, coaching, and team development or b) have had limited sales leadership experience and want to further sales leadership as a career goal. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on leadership experience while supporting the growth and development of Thacker Sales Consultants. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping others succeed, excels at organization and follow-through, and is interested in developing the skills necessary for future sales leadership opportunities within the company.
Sales Team Administration & Support
A significant portion of this role focuses on supporting the administration and execution of sales team initiatives, including:
- Tracking and reporting sales performance metrics
- Assisting with sales reporting and leadership communications
- Monitoring training completion and compliance requirements
- Coordinating onboarding activities for new Sales Consultants
- Supporting sales meetings, conventions, and leadership events
- Developing opportunities within key accounts
- Completing assigned administrative and leadership projects on time
Training & Development
The Assistant Sales Director plays a key role in helping Sales Consultants develop professionally by:
- Administering company training programs
- Tracking training progress and completion
- Reinforcing key sales concepts and best practices
- Assisting with field training activities when appropriate
- Helping identify development opportunities for Sales Consultants
- Supporting the creation and implementation of training initiatives
Recruiting & Hiring Support
The Assistant Sales Director will assist leadership throughout the hiring process, including:
- Screening candidates
- Conducting phone and in-person interviews
- Participating in candidate evaluations
- Supporting onboarding and new hire training
- Helping new Sales Consultants transition successfully into their roles
Leadership & Team Development
Working alongside the others in Sales Leadership roles at Thacker, the Assistant Sales Director will:
- Provide support and guidance to a small group of assigned Sales Consultants
- Serve as a resource for questions, concerns, and development opportunities
- Help foster a positive, professional, and ethical sales culture
- Assist with coaching initiatives and performance improvement efforts
- Act as a liaison between sales leadership and field sales personnel
Sales Responsibilities
Depending upon organizational needs, the Assistant Sales Director may maintain responsibility for an assigned sales territory. Territory assignments and sales expectations will be determined based on business requirements and leadership responsibilities.

- Previous sales experience preferred
