Responsibilities
- Patrol designated waterways, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Enforce boating laws, environmental policies, and safety protocols to protect both people and natural resources.
- Assist boaters, and visitors by providing information, guidance, or emergency support as needed.
- Conduct inspections of vessels for safety equipment compliance and environmental adherence.
- Respond swiftly to incidents such as accidents, coordinating with emergency responders when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of patrol activities, incidents, and safety checks for reporting purposes.
- Educate the public on water safety practices to promote responsible recreation and environmental stewardship.
Experience
- Previous experience in water safety, lifeguarding, marine patrols or related outdoor enforcement roles is preferred.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescue operations confidently.
- Knowledge of boating laws, environmental regulations, and safety procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate patrol boats or watercraft safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with diverse community members and emergency personnel.
