Level 1 Electronics Repair Technician

Description

TH Electronics is an electronics repair company, supporting the industrial and medical industry for over 30 years. We are seeking an entry level technician who is able to troubleshoot and repair basic electronic products. We will train the individual so they are familiar with the responsibilities and functions of all equipment. All work will be performed at our facility (no traveling or field service).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Become fully trained, and follow all safety procedures for the operation and use of equipment
• Follow specifications, work instructions, and quality procedures to repair specific products
• Maintain product traceability throughout the process
• Inspect customer products, and setup bench equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
• Support the training or cross-training of operators that are new to the work area
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Comply with all Company policies including safety, operating procedures, quality, attendance, and proper on-the-job conduct

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Related experience is preferred.
• 1-2 years trouble shooting and repair experience required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge, such as using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
• Must demonstrate acute attention to detail and organizational skills
• Critical understanding of the importance of documentation and data traceability
• Ability to solder and troubleshoot components to the board level
• Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment
• Must have the ability to work safely and conscientiously among other technicians
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as a passion for learning

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to reach and manipulate controls on equipment
• Perform rework activities which may include the use of cleaning products, adhesives and epoxies, using required personal protective equipment
• Requires physical activity such as sitting for long periods of time (2 hrs.) and working with hands
