JOB DESCRIPTION:
Jr. Systems/Network Administrator
The right candidate must have 1-2 years of experience in a Business IT Support Environment. Maintaining systems on the company's network, servers, run smoothly and securely. This includes networks (hardwired and Wireless), servers, on-prem environments, and in the cloud. Candidate must also have experience troubleshooting issues with various Office365 applications, Windows OS, Windows Server OS and Inventory Management.
Additionally, candidates must also be well organized and can prioritize multiple tasks. Candidates must work have great interpersonal and customer service skills, work well under pressure, and schedule flexible to deadlines. The candidate must also be detail-oriented and understand the importance of properly documenting work and logging time in a professional environment.
Qualities we look for:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Substantial experience with Windows Servers.
- Substantial experience Managing Office 365 including Sharepoint/Exchange/Teams/OneDrive
- Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts.
- Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology
- Clearly demonstrated knowledge and experience with VMware.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- 6mo-2 years technical experience relevant to the above.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A driver’s license and vehicle of your own and the ability to travel to Company locations in the Tri-State.
- A solid and well thought out diagnostic mindset.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (servers, computers, etc.).
- Familiarity with the ConnectWise Suite of products is helpful but not a requirement.
- Successful candidate must have effective communication skills and ability to work well under ppressure and deadlines and to effectively manage complex customer situations.
Responsibilities:
- Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various network equipment, routers, firewall, and switches
- Maintain inventory of hardware and installed software and manage software licensing.
- Window Servers and Active Directory, DNS
- Azure Active Directory
- Office 365 Administration
- Operating systems (Windows; IOS); determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature.
- Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade various VMware technologies. (PLUS)
- Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade hyper-converged infrastructures. (PLUS)
- Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software
- Understand and can Administer and configure NAS and SAN technologies from various vendors. (PLUS)
- wireless access points from various vendors, such as Cisco, HP, Meraki, NetGear, SonicWALL,
- UniFi. (PLUS)

Salary: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
