What this position entails:
Assist our talented and compassionate team performing radiological duties in compliance with x-ray department and legal requirements. Aid patients to feel comfortable during the entire x-ray process. Perform selected medical assistant and administrative/clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a physician. These duties are delegated in relation to the individual's degree of training, in accordance with the objectives and policies of the organization and respective state laws governing such action and activities.
6 vacancies are open for this position in the West, Central, North, and East regions.
North region: Wesley Chapel, Trinity, Land O Lakes, Sun Lake, and Tarpon Springs
East region: Riverview, Apollo Beach, Fish Hawk, Sun City Center, and Brandon
Central region: Downtown at the Heights, MLK, Dale Mabry, Westchase, and Carrollwood
West region: Seminole, Tyrone, 4th Strt., South Tampa, and Downtown at Water Strt.
The position will remain open until all vacancies are successfully filled.
Position Responsibilities:
- Follows principles of medical ethics for medical assistant
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Assists patients any time need is apparent or as directed by supervisory staff
- Performs medical assistant and radiological procedures
- Assists the providers with patients, including preparing patients and the examination rooms, taking initial medical history for the chart, taking vital signs, and explaining the process to the patients
- Assist provider in all special procedures, including minor surgery, as required
- Performs x-rays as directed by the provider
- Gives instructions to patients as instructed by provider
- Assists with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by physician
- Keeps medical records in accordance with procedures and forms
- Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality
- Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, washes and dries instruments used, and prepares sterilization as required
- Clean wounds, draws labs, electrocardiograms and applies dressings and splints as directed by provider
- Assists in lab procedures under the supervision of provider and for which training has been given. Other duties may consist of notifying patients of lab results, giving vaccines, immunizations and medications prescribed by the doctor; lab work consisting of throat cultures, hematocrits, and urinalysis
- Responsible for proper handling and storage of all medications stored in the office
- Performs other admin related duties, as assigned
- Completes required trainings as assigned by the organization

Education Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistance training or experience, preferred
- Current BXMO license or Registered Technologist (R.T.) license for State of FL
Work Environment & Schedule:
- This job operates in a professional medical environment
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment, phone, fax machine, and electronic devices.
- Sunday - Saturday, 7:45am-8pm, 40 hours a week
- Alternating weekends
- May require traveling to other clinic/region locations within and outside of preferred region upon request
- May require overtime depending upon patient volume and clinic needs
