What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilitator III - TGH Imaging Floats position at TGH Imaging Powered by Tower?
The Facilitator III serves as a float role supporting radiologists by facilitating radiology procedure outcomes and ensuring timely dictation and completion of daily work volume. This position assists with managing radiologist workflow, presenting diagnostic studies, and coordinating documentation to support efficient clinical operations. This position is also responsible in presenting diagnostic mammograms and/or personal injury cases to the radiologist. The role provides coverage for other Facilitator positions during absences due to illness or time off.
Essential Functions:
- Present diagnostic mammograms and personal injury cases to radiologists
Coordinate and distribute radiologist workloads and worklists
Retrieve prior studies and reports for comparison and dictation support
Prepare and process reports, addendums, and outside medical record requests
Communicate with radiologists and referring physician offices by phone and fax
Monitor worklists to ensure studies are completed within required timeframes
Provide coverage at other sites during Facilitator absences
Perform additional assigned duties as needed
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience and Additional Information:
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in medical records and/or one-on-one experience with physicians.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expert in medical terminology
Knowledge of customer service concepts, safety, privacy, and HIPAA regulations
Strong experience in computer systems and medical records software including RIS/PACS
Effectively communicates clearly with physicians, patients, and staff
Proficient at multitasking effectively in a high-volume, high-stress environment
