 Personal Lines Insurance CSR (Customer Service Representative)

Location: Providence, RI (Onsite)

Pay rate: $50,000 – $55,000/year up to $6,000 annual bonus

This third-generation, family-owned independent insurance agency has protected Rhode Island families and businesses for decades. As a Trusted Choice® independent agency partnered with 50 insurance carriers, it shops the market for every client instead of selling one company's product. The team handles personal lines, commercial insurance, employee benefits, and real estate.

• What You'll Learn and Do:
• Service personal lines clients (home, auto, renters, condo, and more): policy changes, endorsements, binders, certificates, and ID cards
• Help clients through cancellations, non-renewals, and underwriting questions, and learn to shop coverage across multiple carriers
• Contact clients before cancellations take effect so no one is caught off guard
• Report claims to insurance carriers and guide clients through the process
• Handle billing questions and keep client accounts current
• Answer calls and follow up with clients promptly. Mondays and Fridays are busy, and other days are calmer
• Learn to spot coverage gaps and recommend the right protection. Most new business comes from referrals, so you'll help close it and grow with it
• Use AMS360 and AgencyZoom, two widely used agency management systems that strengthen your résumé

COMPENSATION & PERKS

• Base salary: $50,000 – $55,000/year
• Quarterly performance bonus: $1,500 per quarter when you hit your goal (up to $6,000/year).

REQUIREMENTS

• Customer service, sales, or client-facing experience (insurance experience is a plus, not a must)
  - Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred, or willingness to obtain one
  - Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  - Strong communication skills by phone and in writing
  - Self-motivated, with an openness to sales conversations and cross-selling (no book of business needed)
  - Stable, consistent work history

Nice to Have:
- Experience at an independent insurance agency
- Personal lines or commercial lines experience
- AMS360 or AgencyZoom experience
- Life & Health license
