Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Chester, CA, is seeking an experienced and proactive Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who’s passionate about driving a strong safety culture, ensuring environmental compliance, and making a meaningful impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support management and employees in maintaining compliance with OSHA, CAL/OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Lead or assist in incident investigations and root cause analyses
• Conduct workplace inspections and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate and deliver safety and environmental training, including new hire orientations
• Participate as a Safety Committee leader, fostering engagement and accountability
• Manage EHS documentation, including training records, incident reports, and compliance data
• Support environmental compliance programs — stormwater, air, wastewater, and hazardous waste
• Assist with SPCC and SWPPP development and implementation
• Schedule and manage hazardous waste disposal and reporting activities

What You Bring

• 4 years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (wood products experience a plus)
• Associate's OR Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Must have STRONG experience with environmental regulations!
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, CAL/OSHA
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to obtain or maintain certifications including OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, RCRA, and California Title 22
