What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Architectural Designer position at TGC Digital?
We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer with strong Revit experience to lead commercial amenity projects from concept through construction documents within a collaborative design-build environment. This role reports directly to executive leadership.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit, experienced with BIM 360, and has a strong understanding of applicable building codes and commercial construction documentation. They should also have experience leading small teams and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering consultants while balancing technical execution, constructability, and design intent.
Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial amenity and clubhouse projects through design development and construction documentation
- Produce and coordinate high-quality Revit-based construction documents across all project phases
- Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants throughout project development
- Manage BIM 360 workflows, model coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Review drawings for quality, constructability, completeness, and code compliance
- Apply knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and jurisdictional requirements throughout the design process
- Collaborate closely with internal construction teams during project execution to support efficient project delivery
- Mentor and guide design staff through delegation, technical review, and day-to-day project support
- Manage project schedules, consultant deliverables, and internal deadlines
- Identify and resolve design and coordination conflicts early in the documentation process
- Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, internal teams, and leadership
- Support technically sound, organized, and efficient project delivery from concept through construction
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Revit and experience producing commercial construction documents
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and BIM360
- Experience working with clients and managing client accounts
- Experience coordinating consultants, including civil, structural, and MEP
- Solid understanding of commercial building codes, accessibility requirements, and construction documentation standards
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating project schedules and supporting team leadership responsibilities
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
- Experience working in a design-build environment is a plus
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or a related undergraduate degree
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
