General Laborer (Manufacturing Industry)

Job description:

Position Summary

The General Laborer supports daily operations within an aerospace manufacturing environment by performing a variety of general shop, warehouse, and facility support tasks. This role assists multiple departments with basic production support, facility upkeep, and miscellaneous duties as needed to maintain efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general shop cleanup including sweeping floors, removing debris, and maintaining organized work areas
• Assist with odd jobs and miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors across production and warehouse areas
• Support basic assembly operations under supervision
• Perform deburring of machined parts using hand tools and other approved methods
• Assist with material handling and warehouse activities, including moving materials and organizing inventory
• Help with painting, coating preparation, or surface preparation tasks when required
• Maintain clean and safe workspaces in compliance with company safety standards
• Assist machine operators, technicians, and production personnel as needed
• Dispose of scrap materials and maintain waste collection areas
• Follow all safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policies
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments is a plus but not required

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

· Ability to use basic hand tools

· Strong work ethic and reliability

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment

Work Environment

• Aerospace manufacturing facility
• Exposure to machining areas, warehouse spaces, and shop floor operations
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
