Title: Equipment Operator

Reports to: Facilities Supervisor

Job Purpose:

To support various operations in dirt work operations, including moving, placing, and grading soil. This position requires the ability to safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment while maintaining quality workmanship and meeting project specifications.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Ø Create a world class environment with a unique Company approach of asking “How do I make someone’s day better?”

Ø Operate heavy equipment including:

• Skid Loader
• Excavator
• Scraper
• Tractors
• Payloader
• Other dirt work and earthmoving equipment

Ø Move, spread, and place dirt according to project plans and specifications.

Ø Pull and finish grade to required elevations and tolerances.

Ø Perform excavation, site preparation, grading, and earthmoving activities.

Ø Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.

Ø Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Ø Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule.

Ø Identify and report equipment issues or site hazards.

Qualifications

Ø Previous experience in dirt work, earthmoving, and site grading required.

Ø Proven ability to operate skid loaders, excavators, scrapers, tractors, and similar equipment.

Ø Experience placing dirt and pulling grade with accuracy.

Ø Strong understanding of job site safety practices.

Ø Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.

Ø Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Ø Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Physical Requirements

Ø Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.

Ø Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.

Ø Ability to work on uneven terrain and around active construction sites.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
